CROSSABLE LEGAL

Privacy Policy

The short version

The iOS app collects no data. None. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no network connection. Your puzzle progress is saved on your device and nowhere else.

The browser version at this site keeps your progress in your own browser, and uses Google Analytics for anonymous visit counts and Google Fonts to load its typefaces. That is the entire list.

Who we are

CROSSABLE (クロスアブル) is a daily picross game made by OFFEKT. This policy covers both ways you can play it: the CROSSABLE app for iOS, and the web version playable in a browser at this site. Questions about anything here can go to info@offekt.com.

The iOS app

The app runs entirely on your device and works completely offline. It does not collect, transmit, store remotely, share, or sell any data — personal or otherwise.

  • No account or sign-in. The app never asks who you are.
  • No analytics, no ads, no tracking. The app contains no analytics library, advertising SDK, or any other third-party code that phones home.
  • No network access. The app makes no network requests. The daily puzzles are bundled inside it and selected by your device's clock.
  • Progress stays on your device. Today's solves are saved in the app's private storage so you can close and reopen it. Deleting the app deletes that file with it. We never see it.

On the App Store's privacy label, this is the category Apple calls "Data Not Collected."

The web version

The browser version of the game is the same offline game, plus the ordinary machinery of a web page. Here is everything that machinery touches:

Your progress, in your browser. Today's solves are stored in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB) on your own device. That data never leaves your browser and we cannot read it. Clearing this site's data in your browser settings deletes it.

Third-party services. The page uses two services from Google:

Service What it does What it receives
Google Analytics Tells us roughly how many people visit and on what kind of device, so we know anyone is playing. Standard analytics signals: pages viewed, browser and device type, approximate region, via cookies and similar identifiers. We have not enabled advertising features, and we don't collect names, emails, or precise location.
Google Fonts Serves the game's two typefaces (Press Start 2P and DotGothic16). Your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which — like any web request — includes your IP address and browser details.

Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Google Analytics retains its data for a limited period set in our configuration, then deletes it; we see only aggregate numbers, never individual profiles.

Server logs. Whatever host serves this page may keep routine access logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and operations, as essentially every website's infrastructure does.

What we never do

  • We don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone — there's nothing to sell.
  • We don't show ads or work with ad networks.
  • We don't build profiles of you or track you across other apps and websites.
  • We don't ask for your name, email, contacts, photos, location, or anything else personal.

Children

CROSSABLE is a puzzle game suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The iOS app collects nothing at all, and the web version's analytics are the anonymous, aggregate kind described above. If you believe a child has somehow provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices & deleting your data

  • iOS app: deleting the app removes everything it ever stored. There is nothing on our side to ask us to delete.
  • Web progress: clear this site's data in your browser settings.
  • Analytics: block cookies for this site, use your browser's tracking protection, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The game plays identically without it.

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have formal rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to act on — but if you have any question or request, email info@offekt.com and we will respond.

Changes to this policy

If the game ever starts collecting something new — say, a future update adds online features — we will update this page and its effective date before that version ships. The current version of this policy always lives at this URL.
